ALOT'S BEEN GOING ON!!!
spain_mway

Yooooo!! rite so firstly i apologize for the poor updating on the site over the past month or so i have had alot going on and its just been crazy so from now on i am going to get it together and update it a lot more, well thats enough of that so i guess your thinking what has been going on?

As you all know by now i am riding for HM Plant KTM UK and will be doing all the GP’s along with the Maxxis British Championship and selected Red Bull Pro nationals, I am so happy to be given the opportunity to race GPs again and i feel i am now ready.

On the 8th of november i had an operation to fix my wrist i broke half way threw the season and as it turns out it was a pretty big one as i snapped the ligament that holds your scaphoid up also so had to have a reconstruction on that and luckily i had one of the best guys in the business doing it Dr Heras Palau so alls good now and its pretty much 100% now.

The week after my operation i started training in the gym with my new trainer Kirk Gibbons, Kirk has a lot of experience and has took Jamie Dobb to a World Championship, he’s trained Tommy and Billy and countless other top athlete so he really knows what he's doing and its been awesome working with him and i have been getting on really well its been very tough getting up at 7:00 everyday and in the gym for 7:30 but its what you have to do if you want it that bad.

What is cool training with Kirk is we train with about 5 or 6 other athletes so we always push each other and want to beat each so bad as all of us our racers in some kind there is Me, Tommy, Mel Pocock, Leon Haslam and Alex and Sam Lowes who are Road Racers so we are always having a sneaky look over at what speed one another is doing so you just make sure you go that bit harder but the trouble with that is that it never ends as we all hate being beaten so its always competitive and it makes everyone really push each other to the limit.

Up until the 3rd of december i was training flat out then i went on holiday to Mexico with the boys which was a laugh and good to chill out and relax a bit before a long season ahead but i still had to train everyday which was tough with a hangover sometimes.

I got back from Mexico on the 18th of December and cruised back to Derby to start training again, I was handed over the keys for my new apartment on the 22nd which was a weird feeling finally moving out, My girlfriend Chelsea helped me move in not that we had a lot to put in there really, Its a bit weird having your own place at first as im so used to my mum cooking and washing for me i suppose you take it for granted till you have to do yourself it not as easy as you think at first having to sort your bills and stuff but im on it now.

I was pretty lucky for a month with Chels being home from uni as she has been cooking for me and its been easy she has been pretty awesome in that area but now she is back at uni in Newcastle studying Physio so i have to do it all now for a while:(

Then it was christmas which was nice and i had a good time at home, there wasn't to much that went wrong compared to normal except when my granddad somehow managed to pop the champagne cork into his eye and we though we had to take him to hospital but other than that it was all good and had an awesome few days

I set off again on boxing day and went back to Nottingham to Chelsea’s and had a party there and had a laugh then before we knew it it was new years,

Alot has happened in a year and there has been ups and downs more ups though i won a championship i had alot of great times and met chels and i am really looking forward to what 2012 has in store now but we let our hair down on new years eve and had a good laugh, We really couldn't decide what to do or where to go, we wanted to have a party but then thought better of it as didn't want to get kicked out of the new place after a week as i know how are parties get so in the end Lewis Rose and his girlfriend came up and our plan was to head out in nottingham but first we where going to stop off at Jamie Dobbs as he was having a New Years party as well as his 40th so we got there at 8:30 and well never left, it was an awesome night and it got pretty messy thats all i am going to say.

So that was that 2011 was over and that was party time officially over for a while and time to get serious again. Training started on the 3rd of jan with Kirky Boi and he didn't hold back on us one bit it was horrible and has been the same ever since hard, hard, hard

I had been off the bike for 3 and a half months by the time i started riding again and my first ride out was at fat cats, I was a bit worried about my wrist as it was still a bit sore but it gave me no problems at all and i had an awesome time and loved the bike i felt so comfortable on it strait away which was very positive,

That next week Dobba put me on his riding program that is top secret and for my eyes only and have been sticking to that since and have been doing alot of riding and its been very hard but the weekdays should be horrible so the weekend are fun:) i’ve gotta give a big shout out to Fat Cats Motoparc and Olympia track for letting me ride when i want so a massive thanks there and also Ed Warren (edub media)

I just got back from Spain where i have been for a week testing and riding which was good we went down to Barcelona with S72 and the factory mx2 team and i had a good time, it was good to see how my speed was compared to them which i was more than happy with and got a fair bit done, Im now back in the UK and have alot of testing to do before our first race which is possibly at Mantova in 2 weeks,

I cannot believe how fast it has came around it doesn't seem like 2 minutes ago since the last round time has just disappeared but it does every year im getting very excited now, i feel good on the bike and fit so i cant wait for it to get underway and show what we can do,

So there your are thats whats been going down in my world im sorry its been a long one i had alot of catching up to do and i promise they wont all be along as this in future but i hope you enjoyed and thanks for reading, keep it up rite EBB44
